I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, specifically in Greensburg and Latrobe where I worked at the Mellon National Bank in the bookkeeping and proof departments during the summers of high school and the first couple years of college. I attended Nichols College, in Dudley, Massachusetts majoring in finance. At age 22 I moved to the Denver Metro area where I started my formal banking career as a trainee in all departments of financial institutions. After working in several commercial banks in Colorado I finally attained the position of a president of the Bank of Fairplay in the town of the same name. After resigning that position I became a Commercial Loan Specialist in developing loans of a million to fifty million dollars with Wells Fargo Bank in their downtown office in Denver and retired in 2001.
I lived most of my life in the Evergreen-Conifer area, in the mountains 35 miles West of Denver with my wife Janie and our five children.
My wife and I moved to Punta Gorda, FL during the winters and in 2008 on a full times basis after selling our home in Colorado.
I enjoy golf, tennis antique autos and I am an avid reader of history, biographies and politics.
